An update on my small RaspberryPi Project for Indigenous Kids of Mindoro

“Because one of my student don’t know how to read yet… now he can with the use of technology… see! he’s a technical guy now… I wish more units would come… hehe – thanks to Indigenous PH to sir Macoy Mejia go on brothers!” – Gimparay Sialdang

Most of these kids doesn’t reach or proceed secondary education.  Because for them, primary education will suffice to live for farming and do labor works.  With this new skills that they have learned, I hope that their future would change for the better.

Ilang mamayan ang naghihikahos at humihingi ng suporta ng gobyerno, sa edukasyon, seguridad, agrikultura, sining, kalusugan, trabaho… tapos basta basta nalang tayo maglalabas ng pondo para lang magpasikat at magpapogi sa ibang bansa? Sinimulan mo sa Japan… ngayon sa IMF naman… at tumataginting na isang bilyon na galing sa kaban ng bayan? Ang tindi mo talaga noynoy!!

+CBTI Project : School Supplies for Manila Boys’ Town

Ang Manila Boys’ Town (MBT) ay kumukupkop ng mga abandoned and special kids. Ito ay pag aari at pinangangasiwaan ng pamahalaang ng City of Manila sa isang malaking compound sa Brangay Fortune, Marikina City.

Napagkaalaman ng mga kasapi ng +CBTI o Positive Change Bagumbayani  Team Inc sa tulong ng YRock na ang mga kabataan sa MBT ay kapos sa mga matiryal na gamit sa pagaaral. Ang mga batang ito ay mula Grade I hangang 4th Year High School.

Nangangailangan sila tulad ng mga sumusunod:

Ang mga payo ko sa mga #filipino #students.

Students from PUP-San Juan visits me in the office to conduct an interview. Requirements daw nila sa isang subject nila. They prepared some set of questions na sinagot ko… But during the interview…  I gave them some advice.

  • Set your goals. Separate after 5years and 10years goals. And use it as your guide.
  • Wag maging EMO… Be positive. Kung may issues… Take it as a challenge and opportunity to learn… Solve it! Face it!
  • Stay positive. Iwasan ang mga melodramatic movies and TV shows. Listen to music or watch funny movies. Eat your comfort food.
  • Don’t waste time. If you want to be successful… why wait? Magsimula ka na ngayon.
  • Whatever you do… give your best. Treat it like an art… and your output is your Masterpiece. Rewards will follow.
  • Focus, don’t let anyone or anything distracts you in achieving your goals.
  • Sleep as you can. Kapag nag trabaho na kayo.. ma mi miss nyong matulog. 🙂
