RaspberryPi for Beginners : Preparing an SD Card in Ubuntu 13.04

I’m using Ubuntu 13.04, Kinsgton 4gb microSD with adapter for Raspberry Pi Model B 512mb.  Just follow the steps bellow after downloading the disk image from http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads:

run your Ubuntu Disk Utility
Insert your SD card and run your Ubuntu Disk Utility

 

Make sure that you selected the SD Card
Make sure that you selected the SD Card storage device and then un-mount the partition by selecting the partition and clicking the stop icon.

By clicking the icon gears on the upper right corner… Restore Disk Image of Raspberry Pi Wheezy disk image

 

Make sure that you selected the MicroSD card device storage.
Make sure that you selected the MicroSD card device storage.

 

Once you confirm, you just have to wait until it finish writing the disk image.

Done!!
Done!!

You may now insert your SD card in and boot your Raspberry Pi and have fun! ^_^
